Managua

You are met on arrival at the airport and driven to your chosen hotel in the capital.

DAY 2

Jicaro Island

You are collected from your hotel and privately transferred to the colonial city of Granada, with a short side-trip to see Masaya Volcano, driving up to the very rim of its huge crater. After lunch and a walking tour of the city you are taken by boat out to Jicaro Island Ecolodge in Lake Nicaragua for 3 nights full board.

Pacific beach

After a leisurely start, you return by boat to Granada and are privately driven to your chosen Pacific beach setting: Solost (eco, surf/yoga), Morgan’s Rock, or Aqua Spa yoga and wellness retreat.

A small hotel located in a quiet residential area in central Managua not far from the shops and nightlife.

Los Robles has a colonial style and beautiful antique pieces, and a fountain surrounded by a tropical garden that you can see from every room.

All rooms are provided with air conditioning, cable TV, direct dialing telephone, private bathroom with hot water, and a small inside garden.

Jicaro Island Eco Lodge

Set on a small private rocky islet within Lake Nicaragua a short boat ride from the colonial town of Granada with views across the water to Mombacho Volcano. This 9 room modern eco lodge with zen vibe is focused on romantic escapes, yoga, massage and wellness retreats.

Each, modern casita has two levels, with the large bedroom above and a living area and bathroom below. Solar heating, ceiling fans (no a/c), biodegradable soaps and detergents. Both floors have spacious decks to take in the view from your hammock. The restaurant’s menu focuses on healthy, locally sourced. A wooden deck at the lake's edge is used for yoga sessions. Private dinners can be arranged on a floating deck in the lake. Kayaking and artisanal fishing trips are possible on the lake. Small chlorine-free pool. Serene with picture postcard setting but very compact, no opportunity for solitude. Guests stay on a full board basis inc one round trip lake transfer from Granada to Jicaro Island.

Active eco-coastal base for those who love the outdoor life, Yoga, Surf, Mangrove Stand up Paddle boarding. 8 stilt cabins of rustic wooden construction with thatched roof, screened windows, wall mountaed fans, hammock, mini fridge. Healthy organic food in simple relaxed bistro. Small pool.

Complimentary a.m. yoga and core exercise classes. Off shore winds almost year round create good surf breaks. Beach towels provided
