Colombia is very diverse so it can truly claim to be a year-round destination overall. Each region has its seasons, for example:
Andes (e.g. Bogota, Medellin, Coffee Zone): Usually best between December and March or July and August. These months are usually the driest, although differences are not great and would not put most people off visiting at other times.
Caribbean Coast (e.g. Cartagena, Santa Marta, Tayrona): Usually best from December to April. October and November can be very wet.
Eastern Plains (e.g. Los Llanos): Best from December to March, the driest months.
Southern Colombia (e.g. San Agustin, Popayan): Best from June to September or December to February, which are the driest times of year.
Each of our tour designs includes climate information for every location on the trip and for every month of the year.
