Flights can get very busy at Christmas and Easter, and during July and August.
The cheapest seats fill first, so the sooner you can put your name down for your flights the better. The cheaper tickets are usually restricted: if you need a flexible ticket or prefer club class please let us know and we can quote accordingly. 'Taxes' include fuel surcharges.
Economy class discounted return fares to Venezuela are typically £550-£650 inc tax depending on airline and season.

Carbon emissions
Air travel
Air travel makes up 3-4% of global carbon emissions, and so contributes to climate change. You can completely offset the effect of your flights at modest cost through one of several carbon-offsetting schemes.
Forest conservation
The destruction of forests has been estimated to amount to 20-30% of the total – up to ten times more than the contribution from air travel. When fuel is burned, that’s much the end of the story, but when a forest is cut down it also reduces the planet’s ability to absorb carbon from the atmosphere, and has a major effect on biodiversity with the loss of many animal and plant species. By choosing a holiday that values the environments of the tropics you are doing a great deal to support the planet too – perhaps much more than the impact of the fuel used to take you there.
Although it is a major oil-producer, Venezuela also, to a degree, protects large areas of forest in national parks and reserves. By visiting them you are highlighting the importance of this.
In Costa Rica and Ecuador, Geodyssey works with The Rainforest Alliance, a leader in forest conservation. As yet, they have no programmes on the ground in Venezuela.
