Onwards flights

Caracas is an important hub for many airlines serving South America, so you can fly onwards to Ecuador, Brazil, Cuba, Costa Rica... or anywhere. Be warned, though, the onward flights are often quite costly.

Overland to Brazil

One of the exciting, but arduous, connections is into the Brazilian Amazon from Santa Elena de Uairen, the border town in the Gran Sabana. It's a long bus journey from there to Boa Vista or onwards to Manaus.

Overland to Guyana

This is a real trudge of a journey, south from Santa Elena by road, and then back up through Guyana. A long road trip, and not very rewarding.

Trinidad & Tobago

Flight services between Venezuela and Trinidad's Port of Spain come and go from one month to the next. Contact us for the latest.

There is a weekly ferry service between Port of Spain and the port of Guiria on the far western end of Venezuela's Paria peninsula - which is far beyond anywhere that is reasonably accessible. We have heard it's a very bumpy crossing.
