Passports and visas
Passports
The current requirement is for full passports that are valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of departure from Venezuela.
Visas
60-day ‘tourist card’ visas are supplied to full British passport holders flying into Venezuela by their airline free of charge on check-in at the departure airport. Your visit must be for tourist purposes only.
Several other nationalities can use this procedure, including all EU nationals except Greece and Portugal. Others may need to obtain a tourist visa from the Venezuelan Consulate prior to departure. In the UK: Venezuelan Consulate, 56 Grafton Way, London W1P 5LB. Tel: 020 7387 6727. Open: Mon-Fri 0930-1530
Return or onward ticket: you must have a return international ticket, or an onward ticket. (Check with the consulate now if you plan to leave Venezuela overland.) You must hold sufficient funds to maintain your stay in Venezuela: your Geodyssey voucher would normally be enough.
The above information is intended as a guide only, for ordinary tourist visits. It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold the required documents etc for entry into Venezuela.
